ENERGY INNOVATION IN CASTILLO DEL BUEN AMOR

A historic castle as a pioneer in energy security

The Castillo del Buen Amor, a majestic 10th century building located on the outskirts of Salamanca, is a perfect example of how modern technology can be integrated into a historic space without compromising its essence. Today, this castle operates as a hotel, combining medieval charm with contemporary comforts.

Recently, an innovative installation was carried out including 2 M-TEC Energy Blocks with a storage capacity of 99.84 kWh and 100 kW of power, designed to complement an existing photovoltaic installation. This solution not only reinforces the sustainability of the castle, but also ensures an efficient and reliable electricity supply.

M-TEC Energy-Blocks not only guarantee high efficiency, but also offer a high level of energy security thanks to their multiple operating modes, such as emergency back-up in case of mains failure (Back-Up / UPS).

Energy security: a key success factor

For a hotel like El Castillo del Buen Amor, energy security is essential. The aim is to maximise self-consumption and provide stability in the electricity supply, thus offering greater savings.

  • Reliability: Guests, weddings and events require an uninterrupted power supply.
  • Power outage safety: Electrical equipment is no longer affected or damaged, thanks to the emergency back-up system.
  • Price stabilisation: Ability to offer a more stable energy cost by taking advantage of Time of Use (ToU) functionality.

The solution: Integration of 2 M-TEC Energy-Blocks

With a total storage capacity of 99.84 kWh and an inverter output of 100 kW, the M-TEC Energy Blocks provide a flexible and secure energy storage solution.
